Sunday, March 8  (Day 01)
HONOLULU TO KANSAI
Our tour commences this morning when we assemble at the Japan Airlines Lobby #5 at the airport for baggage check-in procedures for our flight to Kansai International Airport.  A meal and a snack will be served on board the flight.

 

Monday ,March 9  (Day 02)
KANSAI/OSAKA
We’ll arrive Kansai Airport in the afternoon and after clearing entry and customs formalities, we’ll transfer to check-in to our hotel located in the airport terminal.

Tuesday, March 10  (Day 03)
OSAKA * KOBE * OSAKA  (B)
Our journey travels to Kobe, capital city of Hyogo prefecture and considered as one of Japan’s most attractive cities.  Enjoy a ‘walk-in-the-sky’ on the Kobe Nunobiki Ropeway, a scenic gondola lift to visit the Kobe Nunobiki Herb Garden, Japan’s largest herb garden located atop Mount Rokko, featuring various floral & herb themed gardens, shops and offers panoramic views of the city and Nunobiki Falls.  Enjoy a stroll through Nankinmachi (Kobe Chinatown), a compact district packed with shops, restaurants, and food stands selling popular Chinese dishes such as steamed buns, ramen, and tapioca drinks.  We’ll continue on to visit the Kobe Port Tower, the landmark of the city, designed to resemble a traditional hour-glass shaped Japanese drum with a red lattice similar to the red ropes of the drum.  We’ll continue on to spend three exciting nights in Osaka.  Dinner will be on your own this evening.

Wednesday, March 11  (Day 04)

This morning we’ll enjoy a full day tour in Osaka.  Subject to confirmation, we’ll enjoy a ‘hands-on-activity’ at the CupNoodles Museum Osaka to create your own original Cupnoodles container, select your favorite soup from four flavors and top off with a choice of four toppings.  We’ll continue on to enjoy some time at the Tempozan Marketplace, a large shopping and dining complex with restaurants, a food court, souvenir shops, a pet garden, and boutiques.  We’ll visit the Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan, one of Japan’s most spectacular aquariums, introducing various impressive forms of marine life displayed in over a dozen tanks, each representing a specific region of the Pacific Rim.  Dinner will be provided for you this evening at the hotel.

Thursday, March 12  (Day 05)
OSAKA   (B)
Enjoy an interesting visit to Nipponbashi Den-Den Town, Osaka’s answer to Tokyo’s Akihabara, an area popular for anime fans. It is the city’s electronics , pop culture and anime shopping neighborhood.  Subject to confirmation, we’ll participate on a ‘hands-on-activity’ to make a select wax food sample for your souvenir.  We’ll stroll along Dotonbori, an exciting entertainment, nightlife and food district in Osaka.  Famous for its giant neon signs and key landmarks like the Glico Running Man billboard and the Giant Kani Doraku Crab, this area has a lively atmosphere offering an endless dining and shopping option.  Enjoy a magical Edo-period atmosphere as we stroll through Hozenji Yokocho, one of the most beautiful stone-paved alleyways in Osaka, lined with traditional shops and restaurants and home to the fascinating Mizu-kake Fudo, image of the Buddhist deity Fudo, the kami of fury.  Covered in a coat of moss, splash water on the statue to wish for luck, believed that your wishes will be granted and protect you from evil.  shopping option.  Dinner will be on your own this evening.  Our hotel is conveniently located nearby Dotonbori with many dining opportunities.

Friday, March 13  (Day 06)
OSAKA * IGA * ISE * NAGASHIMA ONSEN (B)(D)
Our journey continues on to Iga City, visiting the Iga Ninja Museum, an interesting museum delivering a comprehensive ninja experience.  The exhibition halls displays ninja tools, gadgets, costumes, and weapons.  Subject to confirmation, a special ninja performance features authentic ninja skills and weapons, including a demonstration of using throwing stars.  We’ll continue on to Ise in Mie Prefecture to enjoy a stroll through Oharaimachi and Okage Yokocho, a small area featuring various shops and restaurants located adjacent to the Ise Grand Shrine.  The approach-way is lined with many traditional style buildings and shops.  One of the specialties to try is akafuku (red happiness), a Japanese sweet made of mochi rice and red bean paste, and Ise Udon, noodles in a thick sauce.  We’ll spend the night at Nagashima Onsen.  After checking in, we’ll visit Nabana no Sato, one of Japan’s finest and most famed winter illuminations, lighting up the darkness of the night and creating romantic images of mountains, oceans, flowers, shapes and figures among flower gardens.  Enjoy a walk through the Tunnel of Light and the Cloud of Light as every year, one of the flower gardens is transformed into a dazzling display of a fairyland.  Dinner will be provided for you this evening.

Saturday, March 14  (Day 07)
NAGASHIMA ONSEN *TOYOTA CITY * NAGOYA  (B)
We’ll travel to Toyota City to enjoy a tour of Toyota Kaikan, an interesting museum to discover Toyota’s new approaches and advancements to vehicles with advanced technologies.  Subject to confirmation, we’ll learn about the mechanisms of cars and its development and manufacturing along the vehicle production process.  Enjoy a visit of the Hatcho Miso Village to observe the miso production methods produced in giant wooden vats using only soybeans and salt as raw ingredients with natural river stones stacked on top of each other like a pyramid.  The miso is aged for two years in this traditional way.  Obara Japanese paper is a special craft of Toyota City where dyed plant fibers are used to create illustrations as the paper is being made.  The Art & Craft Center at the Obara Paper Art Museum showcases this special art form.  Try your hand to make Japanese ‘washi’ paper with illustrations, Japanese characters or leaf and cutout patterns – a fun and educational experience for everyone.  We’ll continue on to spend three nights in Nagoya.  Dinner will be on your own this evening.  Our hotel is conveniently located above Nagoya Station with many dining opportunities.

Sunday, March 15  (Day 08)
NAGOYA  (B)(D)
We’ll visit the Schmaglev & Railway Park, a railway museum in Nagoya City owned by the Central Japan Railway Company.  This interesting facility features full-size railway vehicles and a bus exhibit, train cab simulators and model railway dioramas.  We’ll continue on to visit the Mentai Park Tokoname, a theme park dedicated to mentaiko, a flavorful Japanese delicacy made from marinated pollock roe.  Subject to confirmation, we’ll observe the production process and see how fresh mentaiko is prepared.  Enjoy dinner on your own this evening.  Dinner will be provided for you this everning.

Monday, March 16  (Day 09)
NAGOYA * GIFU * NAGOYA(B)(D)
We’ll travel to Gifu city to visit the Seki Hamono Museum, a facility that introduces the manufacturing process of Japanese swords, kitchen knives and nail clippers.  Experience several blade and sword-related activities at this cutlery facility.  Experience a hands-on-activity to make your own miniature scissors.  Subject to confirmation, we may be able to enjoy a sword demonstration.  We’ll travel to stroll through Gifu Kawaramachi, a quaint village featuring lattice housing and narrow winding streets surrounded by storehouses with high walls.  A wide variety of restaurants, cafes & sweet shops and boutique shops selling miscellaneous goods.  Enjoy a ride on the exciting Gifu Kinkazan Ropeway, to the summit featuring restaurants, and a squirrel village.  The entire area of Kinkazan is designated as a national historic site.  Dinner will be provided for you this evening at the hotel.

Tuesday, March 17  (Day 10)
NAGOYA * HONOLULU (B)
The morning is at your leisure for your own activities until we transfer to the Chubu Centrair International Airport for our flight home to Honolulu.  You’ll arrive in the morning on the same day due to the crossing of the International Date Line.  A meal will be served for you on the flight home.

 

The tour price is based on double occupancy and a minimum group size of 20 passengers.  Fare adjustment may apply for groups of 20 or under.  The rate is based on tariffs and exchange rates effective 9/15/2025 .  Tour fare is subject to change according to any airfare increase, additional fuel surcharges and fluctuation of the rate of exchange between U.S. and foreign currency.  In the event of revaluation, the land portion of the tour price may be adjusted prior to your final statement.  We reserve the right to revise the content of the itinerary if necessary due to unforeseen issues, weather and safety concerns.
