Sunday, May 24 (Day 01)
Our tour commences this morning when we assemble at the check-in lobby at the airport for baggage check-in procedures. We'll depart Honolulu on a direct flight to Seoul, the capital city of South Korea. A meal will be served on board the flight.

Monday, May 25 (Day 02)
We'll arrive at the Incheon International Airport in the late afternoon and after completing entry and customs formalities, we'll meet our local guide in the arrivals lobby. We'll proceed to a local restaurant to enjoy a fabulous welcome dinner before checking-in for the night at our hotel in Seoul, capital city of South Korea.

Tuesday, May 26 (Day 03)
This morning, we'll travel to the city of Icheon in Gyeonggi Province and visit the Icheon Porcelain Kiln Site to observe potters produce some of Korea's finest ceramics. Located nearby is Sagimakgol, a village that is home to Icheon's largest collection of kilns. On the weekend, many of the locals flock here to browse through the shops to view some of Korea's traditional ceramic ware. Many of the workshops are open to the public so you may see true artists at work. In the afternoon, we'll travel to Yongin to visit the MBC Drama Center, an open-air set that has been re-created based on historical records and reflects the structures and culture of ancient times. This site has served as the filming location for many popular Korean historical dramas such as "Jumong" and "Queen Seon-deok". Enjoy a shopping excursion at the Yeoju Premium Outlet, Korea's first premium designer outlet operated by Shinsegai Simon. This shopping complex is separated into two buildings and shoppers can enjoy the beautiful outdoor landscape while shopping. Take advantage of year-round discounts on many luxury brands - Burberry, Coach, Gucci, and international beauty brands such as Clinique, MAC and Estee Lauder. Much of the merchandise is sold at prices lower than found at duty-free shops. We'll continue on to spend the night in Wonju, a populous city in Gangwon province.

Wednesday, May 27 (Day 04)
Beopjusa Temple is located on Mt. Songnisan in Boeun-gun and contains 1,500 years of history and a matching list of numerous National Treasures and Monuments. Experience the Buddhist culture reflected in these artifacts. We'll visit Cheongnamdae, a remote presidential villa located near the scenic surroundings of Daecheong Dam in Cheongwon-gu. The Gyejoksan Hill features an eco-healing walking trail with a barefoot walking theme on Mount Gyejok. It was once considered one of the '33 travel destinations to go to' by many travel journalists. Hundreds of children from several different countries who took part in the United Nations Children's Conference on the Environment have gone barefoot walking on Mount Gyejok. Weather permitting, it is a very unique experience to walk in the forest barefoot. We'll spend the night in Daejeon.

Thursday, May 28 (Day 05)
This morning, enjoy a memorable experience at the Yuseong Hot Spring Resort, known for its incredible healing properties as you soak in the hot spring water. The water has a low alkali content and the minerals are found to be effective for treatment of ailments such as skin care, neuralgia, and rheumatism. We'll continue on to spend the night in the city of Gunsan, a small city on the west coast of the Korean peninsula. One of the main attractions in the area is the Gogunsan Islands, a colony of islands composed of several inhabited and uninhabited islands. Enjoy magnificent views of the sea as we board the Saemangeum Excursion Ship and cruise to Seon Yu Do, the central island of Gogunsan Islands, along with Sinsido, Munyeodo, Bangchukdo, and Maldo.

Friday, May 29 (Day 06)
We'll travel to Daejeon to enjoy a ride on Korea's new high-speed train (KTX) to Seoul - designed to reach speeds of 350 km per hour. Featured on the train are state-of-the-art video and audio systems, vending machines for beverages and snacks, and luggage compartments. On arrival at the Seoul Station, we'll board our motor coach and enjoy some sightseeing of the city and surrounding areas. We'll visit Changdeokgung Palace, noted as the best preserved among the 'Five Grand Palaces'. Used as the main palace by the kings of the Joseon Dynasty, this was the favored palace of many Joseon princes. Behind the palace lies the Huwon Secret Garden, originally constructed for use by the royal family and palace women. The garden incorporates a lotus pond, pavilions, and landscaped lawns, trees, and flowers. There are hundreds of different species of trees in the garden and some of them are over 300 years old. This afternoon, we'll visit the Trick Eye Museum which features eight thematic exhibits that specialize in amusements that trick the eyes into seeing something else. Located in the lively Hongdae district, the museum also features a good collection of two and three dimensional trick art that is especially designed for photographs. Enjoy shopping at Gwangjang Market, the largest and most famous in Seoul, specializing in silk, satin, and linen shops. The wide selection of high quality goods at inexpensive prices makes it an enjoyable shopping experience. We'll spend three exciting nights at the fabulous Seoul Lotte Hotel in downtown Seoul.

Saturday, May 30 (Day 07)
Insadong Cultural Street represents the focal point of Korean traditional culture and folk crafts specializing in a wide variety of merchandise that can only be purchased and appreciated in Korea. Hanbok (traditional clothing), hanji (traditional paper), pottery, and arts and crafts are some of the goods that you can purchase in the shops on Insadong Street. Enjoy a visit of the Kim Chi Academy to experience making your own kim chi. We'll explore the streets of Bukchon Hanok Village, a traditional Korean village comprised of charming well-preserved Korean houses called hanoks. It is now used as a traditional culture center, allowing visitors to experience the atmosphere of the Joseon Dynasty. This evening, feel the heart-pounding and stirring rhythms of traditional Korean music at 'Fanta-Stick', a dynamic live show that incorporates western percussion with melodies played on oriental musical instruments. The Fanta-Stick troupe is comprised of talented teams performing fusion percussion, Korean music, break-dancing, acrobatics, and martial arts. Experience the excitement and energy of a performance like no other!

Sunday, May 31 (Day 08)
Enjoy a shopping adventure at some of the popular shopping districts in Seoul. Namdaemun (South Gate Market) is best known as a shopper's paradise and one of the largest traditional marketplaces. The main and side streets are lined with shops and sidewalk stalls offering a wide selection of merchandise at a fraction of the normal price. Have fun bargaining with the local vendors for the best prices. Located in the heart of Seoul, Myeong-dong is a stunning shopping district anchored with two department stores - Lotte and Shinsegae. Shops for clothing and cosmetics can be seen at every corner and street stalls offer tasty snacks, inexpensive clothing, and sparkling accessories. Our day concludes with a relaxing performance of "MISO", a show filled with love accompanied by the proud and beautiful tradition of Korean dance and music. Enjoy a fabulous farewell seafood dinner at a local restaurant this evening.

Monday, June 1 (Day 09)
The morning is at your leisure to relax before we transfer to the Incheon International Airport to check-in for our evening flight home. We'll arrive Honolulu in the morning on the same day due to the crossing of the International Date Line. A meal will be served on board the flight.

The tour price is based on double occupancy and a minimum group size of 20 passengers. Fare adjustment may apply for groups of under 20 passengers. The rate is based on tariffs and exchange rates effective 11/01/14. Tour fare is subject to change according to any airfare increase, additional fuel surcharges, tax increases and fluctuation of the rate of exchange between U.S. and foreign currency. In the event of revaluation, the land portion of the tour price may be adjusted prior to your final statement.
