HONOLULU TO HANEDA
Our tour commences this morning when we assemble at the check-in lobby at the airport for baggage check-in procedures. We will depart Honolulu for Haneda International Airport. A meal and a snack will be served on board the flight.
Saturday, June 12 (Day 02)
ARRIVE HANEDA TO CHITOSE
Upon arrival at the Haneda Airport, we’ll clear entry and customs procedures, then transfer to the Haneda domestic terminal to check-in for our flight to Chitose International Airport located in Hokkaido, Japan’s northernmost and second largest island. On arrival at Chitose, we’ll check-in for the night at a hotel located within the airport complex.

Sunday, June 13 (Day 03)
CHITOSE – FURANO (B) (D)
Experience nature at Japan’s first underwater observation zone directly connected to the Chitose River at the Chitose Salmon Aquarium. Observe salmon swimming upstream and discover a variety of freshwater fish up close through glass windows directly into the riverbed of the Chitose River. We’ll travel to the city of Yubari, once a coal mining town, now famous for its delicious Yubari melons. We’ll visit the Yubari Melon Dome to participate on a 30-minute all you can eat Yubari Melon activity (subject to availability). We’ll continue on to Furano, a scenic town in the heart of Hokkaido, famous for its lavender fields and dairy products. Enjoy a visit of the Furano Cheese Factory, an interesting complex to observe the production of local cheese from behind glass windows, including tasting some cheese samples in the factory shop. (subject to confirmation). Also located on the grounds of the Cheese Factory, there is an ice milk factory and we’ll participate on a hands-on-activity to make ice cream in the hands-on workshop (subject to confirmation). We’ll check into our hotel in Furano to spend two nights. After checking in, enjoy strolling through Ningle Terrace, a charming fairytale village of cottages tucked away between the trees in the forest, specializing in local arts & crafts. Dinner will be provided for you this evening at the hotel.

Monday, June 14 (Day 04)

Experience an exciting bear-watching adventure to observe some Hokkaido Ezo brown bears roaming freely about in their natural forest habitat on a Bear Watching Bus at the Sahoro Resort Bear Mountain. Subject to availability,step onto the elevated promenade to enjoy an incredible view of these grizzly brown bears as they roam about the wooded hillside. Located in the center of the park is a glass enclosed observation facility that allows you to observe bears up close as they approach you. A popular summer activity in Hokkaido is to participate on an exciting river rafting experience. Enjoy a thrilling white water river rafting activity downstream on the Sorachi River aboard a rubber boat together with a boatman on board for an exhilarating experience creating unforgettable memories. Dinner will be provided for you this evening at the hotel.

Tuesday, June 15 (Day 05)
FURANO * ASAHIKAWA (B)
Enjoy a view of the Shirogane Blue Pond, a mysterious man-made scenic pond in Biei, created to stop the flow of destructive volcanic mudflows from Mount Tokachi. The color of the pond ranges from a vibrant turquoise to cobalt blue that is caused by minerals in the water. We’ll visit Shirahige Falls, a unique waterfall situated high above sea level. Curtains of water cascading through the gaps of the cliff gives this natural landmark the name of ‘white beard waterfall’. Enjoy a fascinating visit of the Kamifurano “Trick Art” Museum, featuring a variety of trick art displays, where you can take creative photographs with two-dimensional objects transformed into three-dimensional forms with many different backgrounds for some hilarious results. We’ll continue our drive through the picturesque town of Biei, noted as the ‘town of beautiful hills’. The landscape of its scenic vast fields, hills and trees has been used as a backdrop for many Japanese commercials and television programs. We’ll spend two nights in Asahikawa, second-largest city in Hokkaido and gateway to the spectacular Daisetsuzan National Park. Enjoy dinner on your own this evening. Our hotel is conveniently located nearby the Aeon Mall Asahikawa, offering a variety of restaurants and shops for your dining and shopping opportunities.

Wednesday, June 16 (Day 06)

We’ll travel to Mount Asahidake, a stratovolcano in the Daisetsuzan National Park isthe tallest mountain in Hokkaido. We’ll board a cable car on the Asahidake Ropeway to the top at the observatory to enjoy a breathtaking view of the mountain and summer alpine flowers (weather permitting). We’ll continue on to enjoy a visit of the famous Asahiyama Zoo, an interesting zoological zoo featuring several unique enclosures allowing visitors to observe the animals up-close from various angles. Featured highlights are glass domes in the middle of the polar bear and wolf enclosures, a glass tunnel through the penguin pool to observe the bird’s underwater movements. Animals on display include native wildlife from Hokkaido, including eagles and cranes as well as animals from around the world. Enjoy dinner on your own this evening.

Thursday, June 17 (Day 07)
ASAHIKAWA * SAPPORO (B) (D)
This morning, we’ll travel to Sapporo, the capital city of Hokkaido to spend three exciting nights. Enroute, we’ll stop to enjoy a shopping opportunity at the bustling Sunagawa Highway Oasis, a large rest-stop offering a wide selection of Hokkaido products, snacks and souvenirs. Experience an interesting journey through the world of chocolate at the Royce Cacao & Chocolate Town, a large complex designed to introduce visitors the entire process from the cacao farm to the art of chocolate making on a walking tour of the facility. Enjoy shopping at the gift shop offering a wide variety of chocolates and cookies, baked goods, and delicious soft-serve ice cream. Many of the chocolate products are only available for purchase here. On arrival in Sapporo, after checking in, the afternoon is at your leisure to explore the area around the hotel. Our hotel is conveniently located nearby an underground mall and Odori Park. A delicious dinner will be provided for you this evening at a local restaurant located nearby our hotel.

We’ll travel to Otaru, a charming port city noted for its historic Otaru Canal adorned with Victorian-style street lamps and old warehouses, providing a nostalgic atmosphere. Many of the buildings along the canal has been restored into museums and shops. As you stroll along Sakaimachi-hondori, a preserved merchant street in the center of the town, you’ll find many sweet shops, glassware shops, and a music box museum displaying a wide selection of elegant and unique music boxes. We’ll participate on a hands-on-activity to decorate your own music box for your souvenir. Otaru is also noted for its intricate glassware featuring one of its most popular souvenir – drip-free soy sauce bottles. Discover the sweet world at Shiroi Koibito Park, a large theme park operated by Ishiya, a popular local cookie company in Sapporo. The company’s flagship product is Shiroi Koibito cookies – two thin butter cookies with a layer of white or dark chocolate in between, one of the most popular snacks from Hokkaido. Subject to confirmation, we may have an opportunity to observe the cookie production in the factory through glass windows. Enjoy a hands-on-activity to decorate your own cookie in the workshop to take home for your souvenir. Enjoy dinner on your own this evening to try some of the local specialties of Hokkaido at various restaurants located around our hotel.

Saturday, June 19 (Day 09)

Enjoy a visit of the Mount Okurayama Ski Jump Stadium, the venue held for the1972 Winter Olympics overlooking the city of Sapporo. We’ll access a chair lift to the top of the Okurayama Observatory – a ski jumping site built for the Olympics to enjoy spectacular views of Sapporo city and the Ishikari Plain. Explore the adjacent Sapporo Olympic Museum, designed to expand your knowledge of winter sports and also provides you the thrill of participating in various winter sport events like ski jumping, speed skating, bob-sledding and hockey. We’ll continue on to enjoy a visit of the recently opened AOAO Aquarium in Sapporo. One of the main attractions is a penguin habitat housing featuring a colony of these adorable flightless birds and you’ll be able to interact and spend time with these fascinating creatures. Another attraction is a digital art exhibit dedicated to the Shiretoko Sea, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Marine creatures elegantly swim by, projected on a large screen and onto the floor space, creating an experience that makes you feel as if you are underwater with them. Enjoy dinner on your own this evening.

Sunday, June 20 (Day 10)
SAPPORO – CHITOSE TO HANEDA (B)
The morning is free at your leisure until we transfer to the Chitose Airport for our domestic flight to Haneda Airport. On arrival, we’ll transfer by shuttle bus to the Haneda International Terminal for our flight to Honolulu, arriving in the morning on the same day due to the crossing of the International Date Line. A late meal will be served on board the flight.
The tour price is based on double occupancy and a minimum group size of 20 passengers. Fare adjustment may apply for groups of 20 or under. The rate is based on tariffs and exchange rates effective 7/30/2026. Tour fare is subject to change according to any airfare increases, additional fuel surcharges and fluctuation of the rate of exchange between U.S. and foreign currency. In the event of revaluation, the land portion of the tour price may be adjusted prior to your final statement. We reserve the right to revise the content of the itinerary due to unforeseen issues, weather, and safety concerns.
